Why Elephant?

When thinking of my spirit animals, I asked myself: “'If I could be any animal, which would I choose?”. Without a second thought, I want to be an elephant.

I can still remember the time when I was really into wildlife documentaries. In the animal kingdom on the African savannah, there is a pervasive stress and struggle for survival. Strong predators like lions lived in constant worry over feeding their cubs, while preys were always on alert for danger.

Elephants are different. They are herbivores, they don’t kill for a living, but they are also strong enough that predators won’t risk messing with them. They are peaceful outsiders of the African arena.

I love those serene giants, it calms my mind whenever I listen to a herd of elephants peacefully grazing on the grass.

And that’s the ideal state for me and my life - maintaining tranquility and peace of mind while still being equipped with strength and confidence to face whatever challenge that has to come.
